Tonglu is an offbeat destination near Darjeeling and you can get fresh snowfall in Tonglu. Tonglu trek is very popular activity from Maneybhanjang to Tonglu or you can hire Land Rover to get there. It’s called winter hamlet of West Bengal. You can get lots of snow during winter like we get in Tonglu in December. Darjeeling offbeat place like Tonglu is a popular one who go for Sandakphu trek on this route. From Tonglu you can get breathtaking view of Mount Kanchenjunga and witness beautiful Sunrise and Sunset from Tonglu view point. We spent 3 dasy in Tonglu, the offbeat destination in Darjeeling.

There is only one W.B Trekkers hut and a home-stay as know as “Raju ka ghar” is available for your accommodation. Both are good and nice with three times meals for a day.
