Now I am sharing a little about Tajpur with you, where it is located, how you can reach there etc.
Where is Tajpur?
Tajpur is located in Purba Midnapur of West Bengal on the shore of Bay of Bengal.
Tajpur is popular for its beautiful long beach side. Though it is near Digha which is a very popular travel destination of West Bengal and a very crowdy one, Tajpur can give you a perfect quite, heavenly feelings as it is less crowded. Tajpur is set between Mandarmani and Shankarpur.
How to reach Tajpur?
Tajpur is 170km from Kolkata. You can get frequent buses from these Kolkata bus stands to reach Tajpur
- Dharamtala
- Esplanade
- Garia (6 No Bus Stand)
Buses available from 4 AM. Take a bus for Digha. You need to get off at Balisai which is between Contai (Kanthi) and Digha after Chawalkhola.
Also, you can take a ferry from Mandarmoni, cross the Mohona and go for a day trip to Tajpur.
Pro Tips: You have to negotiate the ferry price at there.
You can book a cab or you can drive to tajpur also. It will take almost 5 hours to reach via NH6
Where to stay in Tajpur?
There are lots of hotels available in Tajpur. You can pre-book those online or you can go for a spot booking. But for hassle-free experience book from online advance as if you are going in any peak season you may not get hotel rooms.
