We have all read about amazing adventures about the discovery of hidden cultures and the exploration of exotic locations and we all wish that we could embark on a similar adventure at least once in our lifetimes. Recently, I discovered a way how one may embark on their own little adventure on wheels and take to the roads indulge in a self-drive getaway.
I love cars and I enjoy driving; I am what others would call a pure-bred petrol head. I am also passionate about travelling and blogging. In my recent business trip from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, I took the opportunity to do just that. I planned a road trip and Avis helped made it perfect.
My Journey of A Thousand Kilometres Begins.
I recalled comparing my journey duration from Singapore to Melaka by coach and car. I decided to choose to drive as driving meant I was in control of my journey and I did not need to stop that often. From here, I shall embark on the first leg of my journey and I make my way about 450km north to Kuala Lumpur where work came first. The second part of my adventure will take me from the busy metropolis of K.L to the historic city of Melaka, approximately about a 3 hour drive. I told myself I had to experience as much as I could with the time that I had because there was so much to see and so in Melaka.
At the end of the day, after exploring Melaka’s cultures and food, we walked back to our car to begin our final leg of our ‘self-drive’ adventure. This time, we have the last 250km before we return our Avis car and fly home to Singapore via Senai.
